Blankets and pillows can be personalized with initials and class year...and even with sport and team number.  The possibilities are endless.  I generally recommend personalizing with at least initials -- it makes your gift less likely to disappear -- and makes it extra special for the recipient!  On blankets, the initials and class year generally are placed in the lower corners. On pillows, they go on the reverse side.  Cost is $2.50 per letter.  3-letter initials are $7.50, class year is $10, or both, $15.
