aBCdesign is a home business that began as a hobby in our basement over 25 years ago. 



After graduating from Georgetown University and having several fun jobs in publishing and advertising, I got married and had three wonderful children. A stay-at-home mother, I began to pursue my interests in sewing, crafting and the arts. I had the desire to create special and unique personalized baby gifts using materials of the finest quality. With attention to detail and using classic and whimsical designs I created myself, I began to appliqué bibs, blankets and towels for my family and friends. Soon they were asking me to make them for their family and friends. Within months, and merely by word of mouth, people were calling from all over to order their favorite baby gifts. How thrilling to have created a line of products that was applauded by so many as being pretty and practical, a favorite gift to give and receive, a keepsake gift with lasting value.
